Founding Dean of the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management Jeff Dozier was a legendary lifelong adventurer, snow hydrologist, and leading interdisciplinary researcher and environmental scientist. Jeff’s deep passion for fostering an interdisciplinary approach to environmental problem solving helped guide the Bren School to be one of the top environmental programs in the country. To honor his legacy and commitment, we have established a Memorial Seminar in Jeff’s name. The Jeff Dozier Memorial Seminar will be an annual, public event hosted in-person at the Bren School in the Fall at the beginning of each academic year. The Seminar will highlight prominent scientists who share Jeff’s dedication and spirit for interdisciplinary environmental problem solving and adventure. The Seminar will be followed by a luncheon to bring together the Bren School community – students, researchers, faculty, friends and partners – and further the conversation around interdisciplinary topics and environmental solutions.
